Please explain what Brutus means in the quote below? Do you have any personal experience that relates to this quote?
"lowliness is young ambition's ladder,
Whereto the climber upward turns his face.
But when he once attains the upmost round,
He then unto the ladder turns his back,"--Brutus

Brutus means that once someone gets help from someone to get to where they want to go/be in life, they turn their back on them and totally betray them. They automatically assume that they're better than that person and forget about everything that that person ever did for them to get to where they are today. No, I have no personal experience that relates to the quote above.
What Julius Caesar means in that quote is that everyone knows that an ambitious young man uses humility to make himself better, but when he reaches the top, he turns his back on his supporters and never realizes what people helped him get there. and no i do not have any personal experience that relates to the quote above.
